Set Your House on Fire
If your house were on fire, would you pause to question whether or not you could get out? I didn't think so.
You would act, not doubt. You would analyze the situation, make lightning fast decisions, and get moving. Fortunately, you don't have to experience an emergency to put this nugget of truth to use.
Like the Ancient Greeks who set fire to their ships erasing any thought of retreat, a simple way to gain confidence is to cut ties with any thought of giving up.
Make a conscious decision that you have no choice but to find a way to make things work. It will take some effort; you'll have to squash your inner doubts any time their meek faces peek from around the corner.
And you'll have to remain committed, even when the pressure starts to build. Don't give yourself any time or opportunity to question if you can do it.
Tell yourself that failure isn't an option and immediately move on to finding a way out of the burning house.
